The competition for the green innovation award has reached its completion and declares three prizewinners. Mayor David Miller, Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone and CityNews Meteorologist Michael Kuss reported the best green innovators on April 23 during the Green Living Show at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place. The prize of $50,000 was split between the winners and they each received the coveted Green Toronto Award.
However, it was not the award to drive the young scientist and innovators, but the endeavor to help our environment. All the finalists offered exciting green resolutions and improvements. Since the idea was to give real solutions, most of the projects were affordable and easily applicable, so one day you may see them applied also in your neighbourhood, or in your own property.
