Meet the PlayStation 3, generally known as PS3 and manufactured by Sony gaming Entertainment. The PlayStation 3 puts up strong competition to Nintendo’s Wii and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 as a part of the seventh generation of computer game consoles. The wireless Sixaxis and DualShock 3 are the two PS3 controllers up for grabs.
The name ‘Sixaxis’ is a merging of ’six axis’ which constitutes directional movements. It is also intended to signal motion sensitive technology. The wireless PS3 controllers can function for up to 30 hours by charging to the full capacity. The battery is fully removable and Sixaxis are provided with the instructions of the simplest way to go about the process.
The main function of Sixaxis PS3 controllers is the ability to read both translational acceleration and rotational orientation along 3-D axes.
The Sixaxis PS3 controllers have LED bulbs on the right. On the apex of the controller youwill find numbered LED port indicators which are 4 in number. The indicators interpret and distinguish various wireless PS3 controllers. After you turn on the PS3, you can enter the menu showing the remaining battery of all PS3 controllers which are in sync, by pressing the PS button. And this is only one of the options displayed on the screen
Sixaxis PS3 Controllers feature more intense analog sensitivity than DualShock two, which is the predecessor to DualShock 3 mentioned previously. These build the eight bit reception of the DualShock 2 to a 10 bit reception. The shell underneath the L2 and R2 commands has been dropped and made into triggers. The range of travel decides the degree of analog input instead of the range of pressure. There’s a jewel like PS button incorporating the PlayStation symbol in the place of the Analog function button which can be discovered on earlier dual analog releases. This permits the controllers to change inputs, switch the consoles or controllers on and off, enter the home screen, and more.
Finally, The DualShock 3 is a vibration feedback gamepad by Sony for PS3. The DualShock 3 was first pioneered as a secondary peripheral for the classic PlayStation.
