Currently, many of the readers use an order process that is similar to ordering a music file that you can play on your portable device. Thousands of books are now available in electronic format.
Some of the things you might be interested in in a digital book reader is its access to books in the preferred format. You may want one with a touch screen so you can turn the page, if you prefer the feel of a regular book. Battery life is also a consideration as well as screen size and simplicity of controls. Screen size will effect the readability so you can find one that meets your specific needs.
